It is time for one of the great safari experiences, a guided game drive through Amboseli. Watch for elephants, lions, and maybe even the clouds parting over Mt Kilimanjaro. Amboseli may be smaller than many other Kenyan parks, but it packs a lot into a very small space. For starters, the views here are astonishing because Africa's highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), looms over the park to the south. Best of all, the mountain provides a backdrop to many fantastic wildlife sightings that almost always include elephants with big tusks, as well as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests and gazelles.
